>Should donors help repay Clinton’s debt?

>Yes, according to Sen. Barack Obama. Sen. Obama is asking his contributors to help “retire” Sen. Hillary Clinton’s debt.

From CNN:

She has amassed a campaign debt of about $22 million, but about $12 million of that is money the New York senator loaned to the campaign herself. Individual donors can contribute $2,300 to individual candidates.

Maybe this is just an extension of the olive branch by Sen. Obama to appeal to Sen. Clinton’s supporters. Or maybe he’s just a kind-hearted fellow, which is rare in American society. I think it’s an interesting request to say the least. I’ve never heard of any candidate asking his or her supporters help pay a former contestant’s debt.

What do you think?

  1. >Where are all the staunch Hillary supporters, the ones that are so much against Obama? I want to see if they will put their money where their mouth is and just how much do they really support Hillary.
