This is not surprising. I figured Sen. Clinton would eventually take one for the team and bow out while she still had an ounce of dignity. She’s a veteran politician, so dropping out of the race to unify the Democratic Party is something that won’t phase her. After all, the greater goal is to defeat the Republicans in November, so I think any skilled politician would have made the same decision.
However, will her supporters fall behind Sen. Obama and the other Obamaholics? I think her die-hard supporters (mainly women) will warm up to the Illinois Democrat. But, I’m not so sure about the working class folks–her reluctant supporters. These folks, who may often be swing voters, may be a little more shrewd and harder to win over.
