>Yes, I have a New Year’s resolution. It’s not anything cheesy like: 1) go to church more often; 2) lose weight); or 3) be more financially responsible (which is something I’m committed to year-round).
I want to blog more. When I was in school, I would blog everyday. Sometimes twice a day. Now, since I’m a working journalist, I’m not able (mentally or physically) to blog that often. I’m setting a realistic goal for myself–2 or 3 times a week.
Also, I’m going to go more in depth. When I had more time in school, I was able to write longer, more thoughtful entries. Now, since I’m typing and thinking all day at work, I’m literally brain dead when I get home. The last thing I want to do is sit in front of my computer and put more strain on my writs and eyes.
But, no more. I’m going to do this. This is what I want to do for a living–maintain a blog for a news organization. So, this is only “practice” I will get besides going to school (which I plan to do, sometime in the near future).
So, wish me luck. Starting today (after work, of course), I will sit down and figure out what I want to achieve and the message I want to get across.
